Reform

Unfettered free market capitalism is creating more harm than good: a case for reform.
We argue that much of the rhetoric about the system of democratic capitalism and free global markets is misleading. We review the free-market 'system' at several levels - in its effects on poor countries and emerging nations like Russia. We then look at some of the impacts on the United States - surely the temple of free-market economics - and then focus on the UK financial and investment system which has its centre in the City.
We argue that the current system of free-market capitalism is deeply flawed and in need of significant reform at many levels. We outline what parts of the reform agenda might look like.
